How do you write a biography about your child and expect to capture everything in a few paragraphs? I’ll tell you, you cannot. To begin listing all the things you love about your child, would quickly turn into a never-ending story. So, for us we can tell you about Austin’s early arrival to this world, being born with a brain injury, a rare genetic syndrome, and unable to see or hear, but that would never define who he is. His journey along the way to overcome each obstacle which doctors said was impossible, is a testament to who he truly is as a person.
Working tirelessly all day, every day with Austin in his program has brought us closer together as a family. It’s remarkable, but Austin has changed the lives of everyone that has spent time with him. Some of us have gone our entire lives lost in a search for ourselves, and here comes this little boy who has shown us all, the importance of what truly matters in this world.
As of this writing of this book, we all live in Florida. Austin, 8 years old, enjoys reading, writing, learning various complex subjects, and travelling to expand his intelligence. He also loves the pool, so we do get some play time every so often. Many people that know us, see our daily lives, and can’t imagine how we manage. Well, it’s not easy, but it is simple. Simple to the fact that when your child needs help, there is nothing you won’t do.
Our lives have not been the same since Austin arrived, and as a family, we couldn’t be more thankful. We hope one day you meet Austin and get to know how remarkable he is. Most people that meet him and ask him questions, always seem to receive the answer they needed exactly when they need it.
So we end this biography how we began….. With the impossible task of writing this biography, when the hearts and souls of so many have been touched by our wonderful son.
